 High-End Gaming Laptops Support the Market 

According to Sandalwood's China e-commerce data, from January to July 2024, laptop sales on Chinese e-commerce platforms reached 7.94 million units, a 15% year-over-year decline. However, gaming laptops only saw a 9% decline, demonstrating relative stability compared to the overall market. The gaming laptop market share grew from 37% to 40% over the past year, a 3-point increase.

Regarding price segments, the market share of the 4,000 to 5,000 RMB and 5,000 to 6,000 RMB price ranges decreased from 11% and 17% to 8.5% and 12.2%, respectively. Conversely, the market share of laptops priced above 6,000 RMB grew significantly: the 6,000 to 7,000 RMB segment increased from 20.2% to 23.4%, and the 7,000 to 8,000 RMB and 8,000 to 9,000 RMB segments grew from 15.3% and 13.4% to 16.4% and 16.8%, respectively.

 RTX 40 Series Dominates the Market, i9-14900HX Leads 

In terms of hardware technology, Intel and NVIDIA have set new performance benchmarks for gaming laptops. In 2023, NVIDIA launched the new RTX 40 series laptop GPUs, with the RTX 4060 quickly becoming the market leader due to its excellent price-to-performance ratio, rapidly replacing the previous 30 series. ASUS's TUF series, known for high-performance gaming laptops, maintained a stable market share of 15%. The TUF 5 PRO Ryzen edition, launched in January with Ryzen 9 7940HX processors and RTX 4060 or 4070 GPUs, stood out in the competitive market.

MECHREVO also showed strong growth, with its Dragon series capturing 6% of the market. The Dragon 16 PRO version, launched in May with an RTX 4070 GPU, performed exceptionally well during the "618" e-commerce festival due to its high cost-effectiveness.
