According to Sandalwood's China e-commerce data, from 2024 to July 2025, the market share of 6000mAh+ models in the HarmonyOS and Android markets has rapidly expanded from 8% to 58%.



The driving force behind this trend lies in changes to the energy consumption structure: the rapid increase in AI computing power, large high-refresh screens becoming the standard, the widespread adoption of 5G networks and multi-device connectivity, coupled with longer user engagement in short videos, video calls, and mobile gaming, are all contributing to a sharp rise in overall power consumption. As a result, manufacturers are compelled to adopt larger capacity batteries to enhance battery life.


Large Capacity Battery Products in the E-commerce Market

The highest penetration rate is observed in the 2000-4000 RMB price segment.


6000mAh+ Batteries Lead the Way in the Sub-1000 RMB Segment, With Rapid Expansion Across All Price Ranges After September 2024
By July 2025:

  • The market share of 6000mAh+ models in the sub-1000 RMB segment has reached 50%.
  • In the 2000-4000 RMB range, the share has continuously climbed to 70%.
  • The 5000-6000 RMB segment holds about 30%.
  • The high-end 6000+ RMB segment accounts for 25%.



Among these, the 2000-4000 RMB range has become the core growth segment, with Xiaomi and OnePlus showing rapid growth in the second half of 2024:


  • Xiaomi's growth mainly comes from the Redmi K80 and Turbo 4 Pro.
  • IQOO has benefited from the Neo 10 and IQOO 13 models.
  • Vivo, OnePlus, and OPPO have all maintained strong upward momentum, with OnePlus Ace 5 standing out as a key performer.

Silicon-carbon anodes, however, have already been mass-produced and penetrating multiple price segments. With higher energy density, these batteries can increase capacity to 6000mAh+ without significantly adding thickness, becoming the main pathway for this battery life expansion.


Among the mass-produced products, silicon-carbon batteries are found in models such as OnePlus (Ace 5 series, Ace 3 Pro, 13 series), IQOO and VIVO (Neo 10 series, Z9 series, X200 Pro, S20, Y200T), Redmi and Xiaomi (K80 Pro, Turbo 4 series, Note 14 Pro+, 15 series), Honor (X60 Pro), Realme (Neo 7), and more.


These popular models confirm that battery technology iteration is meeting consumer demand, with silicon-carbon technology transitioning from the lab to large-scale production. It is currently the core driving force behind battery life improvements and market expansion.
