Russia's Tablet Market Under Logistics Pressure: E-commerce Resilience Sustains September Growth
Russia's Tablet Market Under Logistics Pressure: E-commerce Resilience Sustains September Growth
2026-11-04

Key Takeaways

Over the past three months, Wildberries and Ozon logistics warehouses in Russia have been hit by more than 20 drone attacks, leaving several warehouses suspended or operating at reduced scale; Ozon has disclosed cumulative losses of about RUB 30.1 billion across 11 logistics centers. The damage has already affected some sellers' stocking and promotion plans, and supply and fulfillment during the year-end mega-sales will be worth watching.

01 Volume enters an adjustment phase; rising ASP drives revenue growth

Looking back at September, Sandalwood's global e-commerce monitoring shows that in September 2026 the global tablet market was under pressure on both volume and value as memory prices climbed: higher average prices have yet to offset the contraction in unit sales, and the cost pressure from pricier memory has already been passed through to end-market prices. Russia, by contrast, saw ASP rise 25% year on year, and revenue still grew 9% despite a YoY decline in unit sales — clearly outperforming the global market.

02 Low-price bands shrink as share concentrates at $300–500

The price-band mix shifted toward a shrinking low end and a widening mid range. The under-$100 band saw its share fall from 32% to 13%, with unit sales down 65% YoY; $100–200 rose from 28% to 31% of share, with volume down 3%; $200–300 rose from 21% to 24%, also down 3%. The $300–500 band climbed from 15% to 27% of share on 57% YoY volume growth — the market's main growth engine.

Both bands above $500 kept growing, though their overall scale remains limited. The $500–800 band edged up from 3% to 4% of share, roughly flat YoY, while above-$800 share rose from 1% to 2%, up 51%. Overall, market share is shifting from sub-$100 products toward higher price points, with growth most concentrated at $300–500.

03 Large screens grow fastest as top-brand turnover accelerates

In September 2026, tablets above 12.5 inches were the fastest-growing size band in the Russian market, with unit sales up 39% YoY and share rising from 6% to 10%. The 10.5–11.4 inch band grew 8%, lifting share from 34% to 42%; it remains the largest segment and contributed the bigger absolute volume increase.

In the above-12.5-inch band, volume CR3 fell from 70% to 38% — a pronounced drop in concentration at the top. TECLAST moved up to first place and HONOR entered the top three; growth models include the HONOR X9B MAX, LENOVO XIAOXIN PAD PRO 2026 13, SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S11 ULTRA, and TECLAST T70. Growth in this band is fairly dispersed, with brands and models beyond the leaders also adding volume.

In the 10.5–11.4 inch band, CR3 slipped from 64% to 56%, another easing of concentration. MI remains first, with SAMSUNG and HONOR rising to second and third. Volume gainers include the HONOR X8B, REDMI PAD 2, SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB A11 PLUS, and SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S10 LITE. The two bands represent the high-growth opportunity of large screens and the scale increment of the mainstream size respectively; in both, leading brands' advantages are not yet entrenched and competition keeps heating up.
